so, a new name to reflect new developments. Hugh's Blog was me writing about running the company - quite boring stuff on reflection. BUT I'm chock full of ideas for drummers... So welcome to the new Drum Hacks & Tips blog, where I'll be sharing little nuggets of genuis that I've picked up over the years of gigging, recording, and teaching... Stay tuned - can't write more now as I'm off to a gig. Hugh.

Yesterday was a day I'd been waiting for for around 8 months! I pushed the "big green button" and went live with Cymbomute Pro360º. Check it out - it has a silicone bumper to accept stick impact. The idea was based on customer feedback, and that I'm constantly seeking ways to improve cymbomute (Kaizen). Some customers (who are much more heavy handed than I) were playing through their mutes more quickly than anticipated. Some of this may be attributable to too much aggrression, or incorrect technique, however - this does not mean I ignore the feedback - far from it....

As business moves forwards and things change, websites must reflect that change. So, during September I set about doing a cymbomute.com update. I did not want to add more content, nor change any wording (we are in 5 languages after all!) - but I did want to make the site more mobile friendly, better organised, easy to navigate, and simpler! So now we have a simple website layout with a sidebar navigation that allows people to move around the site more easily. We have also re-organised the page structure of the site and you can buy right from the home...

I have been very busy in the office these past few months. - Finally we have made the leap to supplying a distributor! I am proud to announce that VBV International (France) will be supplying Cymbomute to around 40 retail stores across France from now on. As I write this post, Cymbomute is already listed on woodbrass.com and baguetterie.fr *round of applause please*... It has been a long time coming, but once things are up and running smoothly with the France deal, we should be able to start supplying more distribution companies across Europe - and the the Rest of the World....

It's hard to believe that the leaves are falling and the summer is behind us for the year! Cymbomute.com is now translated into 5 languages! This will now allow us to push for greater coverage in more European markets - bring on Germany, France, Italy, and Spain! (not to mention around the globe where those languages are spoken) You may have noticed that we are beginning to use 'Fulfilled by Amazon' on our amazon.co.uk sales channel - this means they (amazon) already have cymbomute products ready to ship from their warehouse network. We are triallling this as an option, and...
