Drum Hacks & Tips — drum practice

Yesterday was a day I'd been waiting for for around 8 months! I pushed the "big green button" and went live with Cymbomute Pro360º. Check it out - it has a silicone bumper to accept stick impact. The idea was based on customer feedback, and that I'm constantly seeking ways to improve cymbomute (Kaizen). Some customers (who are much more heavy handed than I) were playing through their mutes more quickly than anticipated. Some of this may be attributable to too much aggrression, or incorrect technique, however - this does not mean I ignore the feedback - far from it....

It's such a common "solution" to drum practice - buy an electric kit. This way you can plug headphones in, stay up when the kids are in bed, and work on getting ready for the next rehearsal or performance, right? Wrong! Ever noticed how this method of practice does not actually prepare you in any meaningful way for what is to come - when you get back to your REAL drums and cymbals, they feel so radically different to play than the e-kit - your preparation lets you down, and you still feel rusty despite the hours of 'practice' you've put in....

I have been very busy in the office these past few months. - Finally we have made the leap to supplying a distributor! I am proud to announce that VBV International (France) will be supplying Cymbomute to around 40 retail stores across France from now on. It has been a long time coming, but once things are up and running smoothly with the France deal, we should be able to start supplying more distribution companies across Europe - and the the Rest of the World....

It's hard to believe that the leaves are falling and the summer is behind us for the year! Cymbomute.com is now translated into 5 languages! This will now allow us to push for greater coverage in more European markets - bring on Germany, France, Italy, and Spain! (not to mention around the globe where those languages are spoken) You may have noticed that we are beginning to use 'Fulfilled by Amazon' on our amazon.co.uk sales channel - this means they (amazon) already have cymbomute products ready to ship from their warehouse network. Well, The summer was a busy time for us at cymbomute.com! We launched the WIDE RIDE mute, went 'pro' on Amazon, redesigned the packaging, opened a fledgling presence on eBay, and we are still in the throws of improving the user experience of cymbomute.com.
